Being old is just experience for a youkai, it doesn't effect the important things so while younger character may call Yukari a hag, she really is eternally 17 if she wants to be.

Also, it's worth keeping in mind even the younger youkai like Cirno are like 60 years old.

As for breasts, it's down to the youkai's personality and what doujin artists think.

Ran is smart, extremely powerful, well-rounded in all areas and has no particular weaknesses and is the strongest of the youkai beasts.

...and that is the problem.

Ran would be BORING if she didn't have any character flaws. :Remember how much people love Alice abuse threads?

Beyond the abuse that comes from serving under Yukari...these are just ways of making Ran easier to sympathize and care about instead of hating her for being too good.
