Their first VN Tsukihime is a cult classic that a lot of people love, and we were promised a remake ages ago that they keep assuring us is in development but they never have anything to show for it. Fate/Stay Night was great, so was the fandisk Hollow Ataraxia and some of the spinoff stuff was fun too but a lot of the old TM fans are just sick of Fate by now. The problem is Fate garnered a new audience that isn't interested in anything other than Fate, so the company keeps shitting out new Fate stuff even though this series has no business being stretched this far.

Basically imagine if the Umineko anime was less shit and blew up in popularity, and then imagine if Ryukishi decided to just stretch Umineko as far as possible instead of making anything new. Imagine if he promised some new Higurashi thing that people were excited for but instead he keeps making new Umineko stuff. And imagine if this new Umineko stuff was garbage that's ends up feeling like an insult to the original work, taking the characters and ruining them for the sake of pandering to waifufags. Stretching the series way further than it was ever designed to go, just because there's a new audience who demands more Umineko waifus at the expense of the series's integrity. That's basically what TM fans have had to put up with.
