It mostly comes down to being able read the waves, meaning being able to split the bullets into left and right "columns", focusing your attention on one direction the bullets are coming from and moving through the gaps of the columns so that you only have to dodge the incoming bullets from the other direction. IN has plenty of patterns like this it kind of forces you to get used to them whether you like it or not.

It's fairly simple when the bullets move in a straight line. The real problems arise when the bullets move in an arc like DDC's stage 6 midboss non or the last 3 fairies in LoLK's extra stage. On such patterns it starts being really hard to read them since you also have to take into account the arc of movement, and if they happen to be fast on top of that you're left with little to no time to read and react to the waves. Thankfully you can usually bomb such problems away.
