That's because the shitty artist tend to have backgrounds in coding. The ability to program is a significant skill to have to complete a project.

Of course the most important skill will always be charisma. If someone has enough charisma they can attract all the skill sets needed to bring a project to fruition. A charismatic person like Steve Jobs could have lost his fortune a thousand times and would have found a way to get it back each time. He wasn't smart in a traditional sense but knew how to assemble a group of people much smarter than himself. And he would use these people like tools. I've never seen a charismatic leader on 4chan so I doubt we'll ever have group projects that goes anywhere. With that said it will be up to the individual to do all the work by themselves. Very few people have the ability to code, design, draw, write and compose music. I'll always be a fan of guys like ZUN and Pixel who made entire games from scratch by themselves.
