Actually, if an author has something enlighting to share, something that can open one's eyes and make their life better, then I prefer if they wrap it in a story. That way they can pass their genious thoughts in a more exciting way. It's like when a lecturer teaches you some technical stuff but they add some stories and anecdotes so the process of learning is less boring.
