In the seventeenth installment, the participating members are Okabe Rin (Ibaraki Prefecture), Oguri Yui (Tokyo Prefecture), Oda Erina (Kanagawa Prefecture), and Sato Shiori (Niigata Prefecture).
Today’s theme is “Where I would want to go right now if I could time travel!

Q: Where would Oda Erina want to go if she could time travel?

A: The Azuchi-Momoyama Period

Oda: I want to go to Oda Nobunaga-san’s era. The kanji’s different, but we’re both “Oda” so I’d like to meet him.

Okabe: But he was a very important person, wouldn’t it be really difficult to actually meet him?

Oda: I’ll just say “I’ve come from the future” and he’ll want to meet me. Once for a program we went on location to visit Oda Nobunaga-san’s grave, and I felt a great sense of closeness. So once we meet, I can tell him “The future will be like this”. I want to be at the mercy of Oda-san!

Sato: But if you tell him lots of things, the future could change and maybe OdaEri won’t ever be born?

Oda: Ah, that’s a problem… Okay, I’ll change to Date Masamune’s era! Oh, I’d also like to go to the Showa Era. My stage play has a modern Showa Era setting, so I’d like to directly see the people and what kinds of clothes and hairstyles they wore.

Q: Where would Oguri Yui want to go if she could time travel?

A: My own future at 30 years old

Oguri: I want to see my own future. Maybe when I’m about 20…

Okabe: Isn’t that a bit too close? I mean 20 isn’t too far away from right now.

Oguri: Hmm okay, then 30. At around that time, I’d like to see how I’ve changed in my height and how I look.

----How do you think you’d like to change?

Oguri: If I can, I hope that I can become more beautiful. I also hope that I’m better at MCs…

Okabe: You’re going to still be doing MCs at 30?

Oguri: If I’m still in the entertainment industry, I hope so. I want to become a person who can do anything.

----What would you all like to be when you’re 30 years old?

Okabe: I want to get married.

Oda: Hmm… marriage… Yeah, I hope that at 30 I can have a happy family.

Q: Where would Okabe Rin want to go if she could time travel?

A: Ancient Egypt

Okabe: What was Cleopatra’s era called again? I want to travel to that era and paint murals on the walls of pyramids. I’d even draw a picture of myself, I wonder if I’d be praised by historians.

Oda: Egyptian murals kind of look like stick figures.

Okabe: Yeah, yeah. Because the level is low, if I draw there they’d think that I was amazing. Also maybe the Warring States Period!

Oda: What kind of illustrations would you draw on the murals?

Okabe: Eight-kun.

Sato: If you draw Eight-kun into the murals it will become a long-standing historical mystery.

----Do you like drawing?

Okabe: I like it, it’s my specialty. Recently I designed the logo for “Eight Day”.

Oda: It also got put on T-shirts. I love that T-shirt, I wear it for lessons.

Sato: The colors are amazing! You painted it by yourself, right?

Okabe: Uhh… Yeah, something like that!

Q: Where would Sato Shiori want to go if she could time travel?

A: The age of the dinosaurs

Sato: I want to go to when the dinosaurs were still alive. Maybe a little bit into the future, technology will be developed to bring to life small dinosaurs to keep as pets!

Oda: Shiorin loves video games. Especially Monster Hunter.

Sato: That’s a hunting game! I want to raise them!

----What type of dinosaur would you like to raise?

Sato: I was thinking a tiny T-Rex, but I’m worried that it might go berserk… I’d like to fly in the sky so maybe a pteranodon. Then I’d like to ride on the head of one of those dinosaurs with really long necks. Then I’ll try to prevent the extinction. I’ll invent a machine to crush the meteor.

----You really like dinosaurs, huh.

Sato: Since I was a kid I always loved looking at picture books of animals. I don’t like reptiles, but I always loved dinosaurs. They were so big and had to fight in order to live, so there’s a sense of romance to them. The words “survival of the fittest” comes to mind.

Oda: That’s true--.

Sato: Wait! Is that an actually supportive response!
