Finished Mahoyo.
Great game. Never read something by Nasu but he delivered on his reputation. Production values are great during battle scenes. Those parts where the background goes into slow motion and the next lines of text appear strike deep into my Chuuni heart.
Biggest surprise for me was great Alice turned out to be. I'm not much of a shipfag but i can't help but root for Alice X Soujuurou.

I do have some questions about the story. First of all did anyone else think Touko's actions during the final parts of the game felt really vague? Like when she beats Alice she does her best to prevent Beo from just outright killing her, but then at the end she leaves her to die while being surrounded by dogs (who conveniently dissapear when Soujuurou saves her, who only saves her because Touko outright told her where Alice is). Or how she wanted this epic showdown at the end, but it only happens because Soujuurou just randomly mentions the location to Aoko, which he learned by pure coincidence.
Even after they reveal Touko’s ‘master plan’ it still doesn't really explain why she made all of those vague contradicting choices. Couldn't she just capture Soujuurou and Alice when she had the chance and afterwards challenge Aoko directly?
Another part I didn't like is how they still didn't reveal what's up with Soujuurou. I could be missing something but, I still don’t know why he came to the city and how he got so strong. Up until the endgame I assumed he was just a mind wiped slave from Touko or something, but after he smacked up Beo I don’t really know what to make of him. Soujuurou being a super trained human dilutes his original appeal when he was just a normal dude for me. And by the way how did he even get past the barrier in the park?
