I wonder what it takes for someone or something to be worthy of imitation rather than just of admiration. I suppose it must be sharing just enough characteristics in common with somebody else to seem very relatable to them, but also to be in some way just slightly above them, but most importantly remaining not impossible to reach.
But then again, people often imitate other people who are even lower than them in terms of status or other stuff, so maybe that's not quite it.
