I do not find this particularly constructive to debate via conjecture and would much rather prefer we spend our time researching an actual case of this. but I must point out some things.

The first thing I must ascertain, is your specific definition of immortality. You just speculated that we may all have existed simply in another form, is the fairies' immortality simply the ability to maintain their form indefinitely? And if you suggest that a fairy may not even have a concept of trauma, you cannot exclude that the fairy may also not posses other conceptual emotions. I do however, agree that we should be discovering, and not guessing.
