"Fumo" specifically refers to a certain brand of touhou based, non-jointed plushies manufactured by gift. I am certain, that most other long time visitors of this thread would agree with this statement, since the whole point of these threads is to discuss and post pictures of fumos. Using the word "fumo" when referring to other plushies or products of similiar make is most certainly a generification of the word, most likely stemming from either misinformation or a misunderstanding.
With that being said, posting different brands of plushies here is an entirely different — and rather inflammatory — topic.
