Christian Hell basically exists to scare people into loving Jesus as their lord and savior, so like from a marketing angle i get why it exists to get more converts. (Also theres arguments that Christian Hell doesn't even exist in the original text and is actually just a metaphor for total annihilation with eternal life being through Jesus only but thats a whole can of worms)

Buddhist Hell(s) just kinda seem to exist to scare the fuck out of people for no reason, like no matter what you do you're kinda boned unless you literally give up everything in your life and become a hobo in the woods.
