I feel like Erika appearing in the trick ending was less Ange actually envisioning her and more just a narrative nod to her becoming just like Erika, it'd be a shame if she didn't appear because choosing trick pretty much affirms all of Erika's beliefs. Ange denies the chance of her family ever returning and the love they had for them, choosing to believe whoever did it must be purely a villain, and she'll likely forever resent Eva in that ending too. There are of course much more than just 2 ways to view the world but the magic ending is what Ange herself needed in order to move on and live a happy life imo, I don't see it as all that unhealthy because it's basically just an argument in favor of faith in people, especially those you care about.
