Even if she can't control where she lands and she depends on Hanyuu for the most part thats still traveling and she does have a knowledge of what fragments are. The Bern is Umineko (after separating from Rika) is 1000 years old is just normal for her to have more control of traveling.

Is clear as day that Rike and Frederica Bernkastel (Bern) were once the same being, as seen in Higu from 1 to 8 and Rei.
And even in Umineko like I said there are references, Furudo Erika name, the whole relationship between her and miracles, references to she liking wine (Bernkastel's name comes from Rika's favorite wine) and spicy food (Hanyuu bullying with Kimchi).

It does fit, she basically had to make a miracle come true, that said there's still points to argue, we know that Rika and Bern were once one but at point X they became different beings, so maybe that only happened to Bern.

Ryukishi07 VNs (the When They Cry ones) have common elements to them, mainly concepts and lore, stuff like fragments or the idea that for a miracle to occur everyone has to believe in it...They're mostly stand alone yeah, but on the backside they're conections that connects all of them in a more solid way that only character references.
