Yes, it seems only natural. It would feel weird to me if my favorite character and seiyuu didn't match.
I love Aikyan and Yohane, from just the anime I liked Yohane, but not a ton. Falling in love with Kyan was what really cemented it for me. I still like Yohane as a character, but most of my love is for following Aikyan in whatever she does.
