What would exactly stop a /beg/ from getting to this exact same skill level, or if not solid mid-/int/ in just barely 2 years if he draws everyday for a shitload of hours and studies everything he needs for what he want to draws like for example?

Mastering a craft is a matter of knowledge and action, if your actions and knowledge are well affined, you will take as much time as you put form both knowledge and action. Similarly, if you focus on one, but not the other, it will take you time to master the craft.

Also fuck off, Gabe.

You faggots are so fucking annoying. Of course, someone would get better from just drawing. You'll get better even faster by studying alongside that. That's literally all there is to it. God I fucking hate you so much. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND JUST DRAW YOU NGMI

I don't even think you'd need a shitload of hours, just putting time in every day. A couple of years sounds about right for this, maybe even a little less if you actually put in those shitloads of hours.

Doesn't exist. It's all drive + practiced skill + a little creativity.

This. If you study day 4 hours everyday, practicing. Shapes, form, anatomy, figure and perspective... And don't forget to make art as you're learning. Then you will see real improvement in 6 months, possibly less depending on your attention span, ability to focus and ability to retain new information.

No, talent is that little creativity. Look at sycra and proko and "insert YouTube tutorial artist". They have no creativity = they have no talent.

This is what permabegs don't understand. If you're not able to commit at least one hour a day to this, you just don't want it enough. But you have to do it EVERY DAY. There is literally no other way.

>> No.6758664

>>6758660
Every single day... Well, no. If you're doing just an hour a day then yes, but if you're doing 6+ hours a day, you need to take a break once a week or so. You can really fick up your wrists m shit by grinding to hard to fast when starting out. You gotta build up that muscle.

Some days I do take breaks, but when I do draw it's for a hours a day. I learned that you HAVE to make the sacrifice otherwise you aren't going to go far.

If you draw more hours per day, you improve faster, because you forget less. People who draw 8 hours a day improve exponentially, compared to people who putter along with just 1 hour a day. Intensity of practice matters.

>> No.6758679

Why would a beg do 6+ hours a day? That's retarded, and self-imposing stupid standards like that are why so many burn out. It's far better to make it a consistent daily habit. Start with one hour a day. Once it's routine, then do more.

>> No.6758686

Yeah maybe if you're just drawing scribbles or something. If you're practicing efficiently, you shouldn't need more than an 1-2 hours per session to see results An hour of meaningful practice, every day, will pay big dividends. It certainly has for me. I just don't see the point in destroying yourself like that, especially as a noob. You shouldn't need 'breaks' from drawing, it's not supposed to exhaust you.

>> No.6759682

Drawing for 8 hours a day is more difficult than watching anime for 8 hours a day.

>You shouldn't need 'breaks' from drawing, it's not supposed to exhaust you.

If only this was true.

I do agree that as a beginner you may only need an hour a day or like lots of breaks, but as you continue to learn and get better you are going to spending way longer than 1-2 hours p/session learning. Some art classes in schools lasts for 3-6 hours.

But the more you get used to drawing for longer hours then yes, it's easy to spend hours upon hours working on something and then need a break from it.

>> No.6759824

I gave up on getting good. I'm not capable of drawing for 8 hours a day. I'm trying to get an ADHD diagnosys but i don't think I could do it even with meds. It's just genetics imo.
