Hi, beg here. This is moderndayjames basic drawing shapes video. Does anyone know the resources he pulled these from?

I'm having a hard time understanding how rotating a plane in space should look like and much less a box so I was wondering if I could read from the "source"

This is another he does with rotating a box around a cylinder and I'm wondering where if there's a book he's pulling these from?

will learning perspective help to make my drawings appear more solid? even the drawings that have nothing to do with normal 1/2/3 point perspective? I know all the basics, I just never took the time to finish a full book or course on it

3d space is everywhere, perspective is always needed when you want potray space illusion in form of 2d,
unless you are aiming kind of flat-soulless-corporations-artstyle. thereis nothing wrong in art.

Sense of volume is both good use of perspective and good, smooth linework.

jeez, watched maybe 5 minutes and he doesn't even bother to draw one inch lines neatly or straight, in a perspective tutorial nevertheless...
My advice would be to study perspective if you want to make your drawings look solid and realistic to make the viewer more immersed in your work. Perspective will not however make your image look aesthetically pleasing through perspective alone, that's mostly composition. And, to my knowledge, most artists who know what they're doing do not start their work by making a perspective grid/eye level whatever and just add to it. Start with a rough sketch of what you want composition wise and then use perspective to bring it closer to reality. As for the resource you're talking about, I would really recommend you just grab a couple perspective books from the artbook thead beginner megalink and just study them for a while, most likely the people making those tutorials learned from those books. Scott robertson's how to draw is good and you only have to read/draw like half the book, the other half is him just drawing stuff with techniques discussed in the previous chapters.

>I'm having a hard time understanding how rotating a plane in space ........

No shit. The guy spent hundred of hours studying perspective with guidelines, rulers, etc from the basic of the basics of 1 point to complex 3 point, practicing it another hundred hours on top of his fetish for KJG and now wants to sell his courses showing you ALLLLL that in 20 min and you wonder why you dont understand?
"jus draw this cube and then rotate it in whatever direction and draw what you want inside it, silly, see how easy it is???"
