What a coincidence, that's all I ever do.

Trying to push myself to actually finish things and do fill characters though. Waiting on 'Framed Perspective' to be delivered.

Anyway How can I make these better. What sticks out as a glaring fault?

I'm actually going to try turn these into finished, coloured pieces because I need to learn how to colour at some point so I might as well start with these.

Have you seen a beg copy a loomis head?
Copying still requires the skill of seeing what is there to copy it properly AND the mechanical skill of making good lines. Tracing is so relatively easy that even someone that has drawn for a day can make something relatively mediocre but not terrible.

Here are a few examples of me using photos as a reference. This is practice so I would never post this anywhere but would using references like this be acceptable for a completed project? Yeah I've been there. Back in highschool when I thought that if I copy enough "how to draw anime" videos step by step I'll eventually become a great artist.

Unless the piece has hands at or near the focus, you really don't need to do every finger with great detail man. You can hint at their existence among other things, like Bridgman. I've seen great artists literally just make fuckin scribbles for hands and it works because of composition and detail focus.

it's one of those projects where you really want to turn it into a webcomic or something, but you can't find the time to focus on it well enough (let alone find the skill level required). Admittedly, i really enjoy my characters, though.

I think I'm starting to understand it, thinking in shapes instead of outlines, wrapping lines, and trying to feel the flow. Difficult, but I look at my stuff now and I definitely see improvement from 6 months ago, and it feels good.
