What causes the difference between Randy Stair style crisis art and Hideaki Anno crisis art?

Randy didn't draw his characters he hired animators to do it for him. The music video he made before he shot up his work has some of his drawings in it and they're laughably bad. Anno is an artist, Randy was an autistic freak who thought he'd become a transgender ghost after he died.

Randy was never an artist. even the best stuff he had for EGS (namely the cheap flash animation that looked like a bad episode of Total Drama Island) was the product of other artists
hell, he even decided to try animating the missing portions of his "magnum opus" and it was fucking awful
