IF YOU ARE A /BEG/INNER IN ART, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the /draw/thread with our fundamental exercises.

Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make YOURSELF feel proud.

RESIZE YOUR IMAGES - try ~1000px, <1.1mb

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

The OP doesn't get posted as a mean of making fun of somebody in particular, it's just the representation of a beginner's drawing with the literal drawing of a beginner (you).
Loomis, just draw, read the sticky, fundies, etc... all these responses has been repeated to death and for just cause because this is a beginner thread and /beg/s are not supposed to know the fundamentals.
I can appreciate the effort of your drawing but I can't tell you didn't even bother reading the sticky friend, this might have been posted for meme purposes as far as I know.

Nice how you used different shades of blue/green. Hair design is decent, looks like you planned it out well.

Work on proportions of the head. For example, the top of the head is too low; forehead should be taller.

Also, I think you’re art for a lot of anons who just started out, imagine grinding figure drawings, drawing anatomy diagrams and placing the muscles unto the bones/mannequin. Doing that at the start will just kill their motivation to draw, i believe if you want to get the ball rolling is to draw and study artwork you want to do instead of just going through anatomy first hand, you gotta build that mileage first before tackling shit like anatomy. Yes i know figure drawing will help and should be also practiced even at the beginning because it helps you tremendously when you’re on the level to draw anatomy and not be discouraged.

Why would it help with coloring? Do you mean shading?
It can be useful to show contour lines where there otherwise wouldn't be any, and therefore can help you think about form more as you draw and in doing so make it easier to decide how each part of the drawing should be rendered. You have to decide for yourself if it helps you or not, it might not.
If it shows through the rendering you do afterwards, then it's never wasted if you like the style it makes.

This was way out of my comfort zone, so I'm not really happy with the result.
