What's wrong with starting in pencil? Yeah, faces are hard, very hard. You don't need to feel ashamed about the face taking some time.

You're identifying too much with the idea that things have to go awesome immediately or that makes you bad.

So maybe do the exact opposite of that. Find a good reference image and study it with care, in stages. Identify the problem areas (is it the jaw? look up supplementary materials for the jaw? eye? do that for the eye). Trace for the purpose of learning, then copy your trace by eye, then do it from imagination. Draw up simplifications for complicated anatomy. I can almost guarantee you if you do this once thoroughly for one drawing where you give it your all (and don't expect it to be instantly badass) you'll see some immediate gains.

You don't have to draw a realistic face. But at least internalize some construction and perspective, like your own version of the Reilly method that makes sense to you. If you can imagine construction lines on a face real or drawn it becomes easier to notice and fix problems.

it's really nice of you showing some of your mistakes and failures as well. So much of the time people only post their successful drawings which makes "getting gud" at art seem like such an unachievable goal.

Often, The amount of failures it takes to churn out a good drawing is cast under the rug and not really taken into account making things like talent outweigh all the hardwork and effort that actually goes into making a spectacular artpiece that inspire people.

I consider you as one of the better artists that frequent here, and I must say it's inspirational to see that even those people go through the same humbling struggles at times.

The face on the first one looked nicer before liquify, although the hair is more proportionate in the after version.

Generally it looks like you mainly struggle with keeping the face symmetrical, one eye often ends up bigger and/or higher than the other one.
Your eyes also tend to be rather close together which makes your girls look less cute - and that can work for certain characters, but not all of them. I know it can be difficult to fit large anime eyes on a face without invading on other features, but leaving enough room in between the two eyes for a third eye is really important for an appealing face.
Also, even after shrinking your faces down the heads are still a bit big in comparison to the bodies you draw. Would be fine in a more symple style, but although you draw heavily stylized bodies they do have a lot of detail to them, so huge lollipop heads look a bit odd.

Try to approach faces like you do bodies then, think of every angle or expression as a pose.

Idk if you care about getting more followers but here’s a few tips:
- put the 18 tag/emoji in your name, and something about being an artist in the bio, the algorithm will put you in the suggested list more when other people follow nsfw artists
- post your work on art discord’s and discord’s with the fan base your art is from.

I can tell that you've put a ton of time and effort into rendering this piece and that part looks great, but the drawing itself isn't as strong. I recommend working more on your hands and faces especially, since this is where viewers will usually look first.
There are also a few areas where simpler and clearer shapes would be more visually pleasing, like the bow on her head. You rendered the fabric folds very carefully, but unfortunately the end result looks kinda frumpy.
Is the underskirt supposed to be transparent? Right now the back doesn't look like it because the blue fabric doesn't show through, but the front is pretty much completely clear.

Yes, it was a much different color before I posted it, I think something happened with the layers and then when I made some adjustments I must have turned off a layer or something because I didn't notice it before I posted it. Its 4am here and I am just exhausted, but I am moving this week and had to post this now or never because I am feeling terrible. Jesus Christ I looked my work compared to other people I admire the other day and realized that I was just bad, and its sapped my will to continue drawing almost completely.
