Like I see really good shit here, it's just that it's ether too big, or your brush Is too big, you should ketch out a drawing and paint over it if you're doing realism. Trust me it seems slower but it will both speed you up and be easier.

When you draw any object, people included, you need to understand that you are capturing the subject as if you are looking through one eye or a camera lens, there is actually a way to draw up a feuld of view, using a big piece of paper you can make a smaller scale sketch of any project. Around 6-7 inches, size doesn't matter, you want to draw a line from the center of your cube (the cube should match the dimensions of your canvas, not size)

If you get robs book this process is described and explained in lots of detail but not in too many words, unlike the fucking essay I'm writing to you.

Shit like this isn't always necessary, but as so somone who drew this shit for like 3 semesters I'm going to be real with you, it fucking helps.

Unless you are Kim jung gi, the best way to draw is construction lines, you don't have to do it in a gay boring way, but always break down what you are drawing to its most basic geoshape, in your min ask yourself the part of body/detail could be best described as which geoshape.

There are only 4 geoshapes, the Cube, sphere, cylinder, cone and arguably pyramid and MAYBE doughnut. But in terms of applying your 1, 2,3 or your light, medium, dark values is the same on the human body as it is on the geo forms.

Don't stick to 1 point perspective , go all the way to 3 point, anything past 3 point is just double 3 point with bending lines and a fancy name like "fish eye" it's not even true.

Go and buy the rest, but this should be enough to draw a mini sketch, objects drawn within are created by taking a ruler and draving a V at 90 degrees, the V's wings will be drawn until they hit the horizon line which should be directly in the middle of the drawing of u are looking straight forward, if you are not looking straight forward, looking up for example there is a phantom HZ, it's the hirizon line that you naturally have in your vision, it is going to determine wt which perspective you will see objects.

to be honest read through Pastrana's shit first, but i think that you can sorta cross-reference them. Pastrana teaches theory and methods of accurate perspective. Robertson teaches more how to sketch dynamically and how to apply elements of design to what you do (and perspective as well, but doesn't teach 3 point grids?).
