Wasn't sure where to put this, so I guess I'll do an update here.
The API is has been completely redone, programmed in Node.js. All that's left to do is implement posting and authentication in the UI, and then I'll be ready to start letting some people in. It's still a Minimum Viable Version, so profiles have not been implemented, and the profile pictures are sourced from Gravatar.
The alpha is coming very soon, I'll make a new thread when it's ready.

Inktober was a good way to get exposure since people actively browse through the tag, but not sure what to tell you now that it's over. The general process I recommend is
>go through an art tag
>find an artist with work similar to or worse than yours
>like their 3 most recent posts
>do this for the rest of the tag
You do this to show up in people's notifications, and possibly get a profile visit from them.
>once you have a few followers, repeat the liking process for their followers/the users who like their art
The above point is effective since targeting your follower's followers will show "followed by ____" when they look at your profile, giving you more credibility. It takes a bit of work; for every 100 users whose posts you like, you might only get 5 followers, but the reward is higher retention and engagement. Don't forget to cross-post or link from your other social media accounts. Cheers!

If you're looking to improve on poses, you can do some life studies with a brush pen to help build a visual library. Studying from Vilppu and feeling for the form also helps, as well as even looking at the mirror, if a model is difficult to acquire.

The sense of scale of this piece is bonkers. The more I look at it, the more stuff pops out to me as being poorly executed. You are over rending things without thinking about how they actually read, or how they fit into the larger composition. Is this demon supposed to be 1000ft tall? The light source is also all over the place. The background is lit noticeably more different than the figure. The clearest indication of where the light source is is from the face, where the horn casts a shadow. Nothing else seems to follow this clearly established light source.

Truly the definition of a crab. People like this are why the saying about the crab bucket came into existence. All the others are moving up and he's not, so he has to attack them.
