.. these aren't even close to the dimensions of the human upper body? This is from one of the patreon stuff from Krenz Cushart.

It's probably just for the rotation-exercise.

Do you have made your own mannequins with it's own dimensions for structural posing or do you use what someone taught you?

I'm using my own for the torso, with the dimensions from real people and i'm doing fine so far.

Looks fine to me.

Yes, you hope he knows that these aren't even close to the dimensions of the human upper body.
Any other question?

Yep, it doesn't work

It seems to work for the bottom row version tho

Yes, and the cranium is not a sphere, yet methods like Loomis heads and Krenz's construction have tons of applicability. Nitpicking celeb artists won't make your own art any better, go draw

the bottom version's box goes to the pelvis, though

where did you get this model from?

hope you're not serious. first of all, i'm drawing all the time, therefore i know that at some point it's a good thing to settle down on certain methods and systems. the mannequin and its dimensions for instance. if i would just take what krenz displayed my figure drawing would go downhill.

good thing i'm not that dumb, and i even think he's aware, it's just been a simple method to show how to rotate the body in space. i'm moreso interested in /ic's mannequins.

than there is the rest of your bullshit; loomis cut the sides of the sphere and krenz construction (from this example) is borderline useless. but go head and use it for your art.

If you want something similar with boxy divisions, but more accurate, you can try Robert Beverly Hale's proportional system.

>> No.4089567

neat, thanks!

>> No.4089596

just tried it out on my figures, it makes em look clinched in height, could be some issue with my perspective tho, but if i'm just stretching the height of the ribcage it looks fine
