What’s wrong with freelancing? Some artists prefer it so they can have time for other projects and just for the overall work structure.

Most creatives are technically freelancers. Writers, musicians, actors, and artists are mostly in business for themselves.

Maybe what you really mean to ask is "why is he doing grunt work instead of being employed as an in-house art director," to which my answer would be that design skills isn't the same as execution. Designers is what companies want in-house. Artists without a unique identity or skill are easily replaceable.

Freelancing isn't inherently bad, you get to work when you can and take on projects that are interesting to you for a much bigger rate than if you work for a company. It's just less secure.

It isn't edgy to want more of your money back from programs that don't work or take too much resources relative to more efficient alternatives. Let's not forget the more egregious examples of public expenditure such as funding terrorist cells.

For me the inclusion of the ghost dad feels really awkward. He doesn't have any appreciable effect on the figure/environment (no reflected light, no green-bluish haze, nothing), and he's partially out of frame in a way that isn't aesthetically pleasing. It feels like he was painted in at the last moment to a completed piece.

I don't get it.

The IATSE rate for a draftsman on a feature production is $37 an hour. The standard hours in film production, which you are often paid for whether you work the full day or not, means you make over $500 a day.

Why would anyone fuck around with freelancing bullshit when they can work in the film industry and work for the duration of a production?

no overwhelmingly more of your money is going to the defense industries and corporate socialism to cover the difference when companies like Walmart and McDonalds don't pay their employees a living wage. The US government spends billions on food stamps and entitlements for people that work full time. Because the government has fundamentally been captured by the industries it's supposed to be regulating. And they get away with it by convincing people like you to obsess about poor people so you're batting down and away instead of up at your actual oppressors.
>very little of it is actually spent on stuff everyone uses.
Yeah trillions of it is spent on building tanks and dumping money into defense contractors that are basically just getting rich digging ditches. This has nothing to do with the "brown welfare parasites" and everything to do with agency capture by malignant industrial complexes.
>mostly just entitlements.
There's essentially never been a time in American history when corporations paid less taxes. We went from when America was "great" and corporations paid over 70% taxes to now when they pay effectively zero. When we strip "entitlements" designed to help the poor and working class gain upward mobility we're destroying our future out of spite.

Brown people aren't your enemy. You're in the same fucking boat. And as long as you're focused on them instead of your oppressors you'll always be a cuck.

for real tho brown people don't spend millions to lobby and wine and dine their representatives. Corporate welfare is fucking dumb, but super real and we have an ever increasing military budget that is literally like a third the pie(there are logistical reasons for this).
