I think the underdrawing is the most important part of the drawing. Without it your proportions would be fucked. Next I do ground and lighter and darker values. I though you would like to know.

To be fair, i notice i also use characteristics of my own face in my original drawings. It's just because you're your own best model and can analyse yourself for hours in the mirror without it being awkward.
