>actually tracing a static image instead of using a 3D wireframe to mirror a pose in a paused video and change the angle

It's not the cheating that bothers me, but lazy and stupid cheating. Put some passion into your frauding for god's sake

>> No.3373182

>>3373118
What did you mean by use a 3D wireframe to mirror a pose? What does wireframe have to do with anything? Or do you mean you switch it to wireframe and import the image inside the 3D program to match the pose. Then you change angle, draw on top of that and then no one will be able to know.

>> No.3373197

>>3373182

Basically that, but simpler.

Paste a video screenshot of somebody into a program like Photoshop or CSP. Use a wireframe from the 3D image material library to match their pose. Change the angle/perspective of the wireframe and adjust its proportions if you need to. Then literally just trace the figure on another layer. Add hair/eyes/clothes/whatever details you want after the form is done. Literally impossible to tell. Even if somebody had psychic powers they wouldn't be able to prove you did it.

it's like those retards in english class who didn't realize that when the teacher asks you to paraphrase something she's actually teaching you how to cheat off your friends and not get caught.

>> No.3373607

how can you come up with evidence of something that you draw is actually how it looks like? well by referencing a photo of course! otherwise they are just approximations and never true.

The closer you are to the photo the closer you are to TRUTH.

Modifying the photo is not much different from drawing from imagination, therefore is just LIES.

I've finally learned a hard lesson after a long time not wanting to accept it. Most of the top artists trace or at least heavily reference or use 3d models. Spending tons of time trying to come up with original shit and doing it on your own is a waste of time. Spend weeks working on something only to have TracerJoe fart something out with sloppy shading in a couple days or even a few hours getting 5x the likes is maddening. The only thing that matters to getting popular is consistently and frequently putting stuff out, and making it JUST good enough that normies will like/favorite/share it. There is a fairly clear barrier of rendering beyond which normies just can't see any difference.

What does he win? There are countless jobs more productive, stable, socially accepted that pay you way more. If you get into art for the money you're fucking retarded mate.

Also who the fuck do you think that pays you to glue an anime face on a photo really? At best he makes 200 bucks a month "drawing" porn, he's not even enjoying it, it's not enough to live well and he's never going to improve because he's too used to his shitty crutch. He's probably depressed too.

This is not cheating, this is being smart. People who cry about ethics for doing this are just butthurt that they're failing while others are more successful than them. It's like if a doctor decided to pursue a career in art, he would take this approach. Money is money, fuck you guys and your ethics.

This is where you're wrong, art is lucrative and easy-mode as shit IF YOU TREAT IT LIKE A BUSINESS. Wake-up call is that most people who pursue art ARE the retarded ones, which is why they all fail. Throw a programmer into the art industry and watch him become a millionaire in 5 years tops.

Quit talking about ethics when you have no shame in replicating anime-style. You don't draw anything original yourself, you guys just read Loomis and inspire to be like someone else, which just makes your art forgettable. It's you retards who should get out of this field.

please anon, stop with this idealism, you enter the world of art because you like it sure, but then what you need money to survive, the guy doesnt like what he sell sure, but who gives if he makes money out of it thats a fucking win.

i went to a comic con as an artist didnt make enough money why? didnt make enough fan art, marvel and star wars bullshit, meanwhile high schoolers made a profit because they made K-pop fan art and let me tell you it was traced badly shaded shit tier art

if you make art as an hobby sure man do whatever you might have a standy job and get your income through there, hell you might get a break and get a fanbase out of your originals that you love making drawings, but for people that truly need this to live they have to make money, that how you make it

FUCKING THIS.

So many artists don't make money in art due to self-sabotage. Right now there are shit artists making more money than some experienced artists in Patreon.

Those who been on the internet have seen so many photos and art to the point it's easy to remember most of them. Lazy equivalents are reverse image search techniques. That's why it's hard to come up with poses when there are roughly 10+ million images with the same pose, hair color, clothing design etc.
