Why not have it all?

Why should you ask? Of course, it's "draw for fun and grind when you run into something you can't tackle by the power of imagination or looking at photos."

Drawing should always be fun primarily. If you have no fun doing it, you probably have no talent.

Sure, but it probably already was decently enjoyable when you started. At least for me that's the case. I always enjoyed drawing, except I hit a wall now and then. Then it sucks but it happens to everyone.

That's not how it works, retard.

Just fuckin' draw.
>b-b-b-b-but my fundies muah studies

Draw. Draw what you want, draw what you love, and draw for fun all the while checking your studies. If you can concept the grasp of Form, there's nothing you Can't draw.

Shit, I need to get myself together.
Lately I've been going through that "don't know what to draw" phase and it's sucking away my motivation.

>> No.3302241

I'm finding I'm improving when I'm not taking my art seriously and having fun with it.
Strangely, when I was deluded with "grandeur" and hoping to "make it" with my art without putting in the work, I hated the idea of forcing myself to create art and didn't really like the idea of doing anything with it.

Now that thats all gone, I'm finding it easier to improve myself and be more open to different techniques and ideas.

You start to improve when you become obsesses with making things look better.

What I mean by that is; every artists has a waifu and they want her to look great. Some become so obsesses with this, the trial and error through the roof on how to create their waifu to perfection. Impossible, they keep at it for hours on end, seeking true beauty, while slowly going insane. And THAT is where fundies kick in.

I wouldn't call it obsession. That sounds so unhealthy. You just must have a lot of discipline to sit down everyday and draw, since it's kinda boring and lonely to just sit there making strokes

I know a lot of people meme and shit by quoting a post then saying "NGMI", but holy shit anon. Your post is exactly a statement from someone who's NGMI.

So you better change that mindset right now if you truly want to become a professional artists.

I don't even want to "make it". I prefer drawing as a hobby, since you have more freedom there.
If I was a professional artist, my government probably already would have jailed me. Not to mention that you have no free time at all anymore.

I don't give a shit about "not gonna make it". Vast majority of artists who "made it" just produce boring crap anyway, so it really doesn't mean anything.

What's your endgame?

To be happy? To be the most technically skilled artist you can possibly be? To make money?

These three things necessitate different approchaes from Day 1
