That aside, I'm going to give OP the benefit of the doubt and answer as if he's not just trying to stir up the hornet's nest.

Drawing pretty girls (and boys) has been a major motivating factor for artists for thousands of years, and I hate the idea of telling an artist to stop drawing what they enjoy drawing, BUT, it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish as an artist.

If you're an artist who draws mostly pretty girls for the sake of drawing pretty girls, either in a sexy way or not, I'm certainly not going to criticize you. Pretty girls are fun to look at. Pretty people are fun to look at.

However, if you're trying to tell a story, and every single female character is a bombshell, you're going to take me out of the story. You need to have a variety of body types. Ridiculous costumes can be pretty annoying too, but then I've always despised fan-service. If you want to draw pinup, draw pinup, but don't draw pinup and add word bubbles and expect me to take it seriously. If a character is beautiful or sexy, they should be so in service of the story.

This sentence however:

"I get that voluptuousness is aesthetically pleasing to you, but it's just bad drawing, plain and simple."

is such a load of hogwash I'm not even sure what it means.

Does she mean that every drawing of a sexy lady is a bad drawing? Because they're "unrealistic"? Except sexy people exist in real life so I don't know what she's getting at?!

As others have said, it reeks of trying to control other artists' work, which I dislike on principle. And to take it out on artstation, which is mostly sci-fi concept art and environment designs with a few sexy androids here and there, is odd to say the least.

Anyway, I've seen plenty of female artists draw pinup, so clearly it's not just the men who like pretty girls.

OP here, I pretty much had the same stance on the whole subject. Being an artist doesnt necessarily allow you to exercise your freedom however you want but you dont get to control other's art either but "when exactly do you draw a line" is what bugs me a lot , its the question I always ask myself , unable to get a proper answer I started to question my own ideology after reading her status, Am I wrong somewhere?even though I dont really draw pin-ups but I try to draw my female or male character as aesthetically pleasing as possible so does that make me a sexist?

I think all of these problems would be solved if more women were in charge of projects and there were multiple main female characters in one story with a variety of exaggerated character designs.

c) these designs would have originality therefore being better artistically

As a female artist, I love, love drawing dudes with mma-like bodybuild and loomis-tier pretty faces and if someone told me to stop drawing this subject, it would probably destroy my joy for art.
