It is required for a society to attempt perfection. This is depicted in Western music and it is why the west has dominated the world. I fear we do not cherish our art like we used to and it has devolved to more primal levels rather than facilitate exploration of the imagination. Just look at the most popular music today.

This is not a political thread, it is an examination of the different types of cultural differences in music and art.

statistically speaking it is the case that east asians have a (slightly) higher average IQ. thats pretty much the only factor i can think of in which they perform better though.
