I've had a Wacom Bamboo Fun like pic related for a good number of years and it's done the job well.

I'm considering upgrading to an Intuos Pro but would I feel a noticeable difference? I don't really have any frame of reference. I know it's 512 levels of pressure sensitivity vs 2048 on the Intuos Pro, but I don't know what the difference would be like in practice.

Anyone have experience of both?

By the way, I'm not interested in a Huion tablet. If you're that wee shit that spouts 'Jewcom' in every tablet thread then don't bother posting.

No, it hasn't.

Literally get anything, the shittiest huion will be better than that piece of shit.

Have you used it?

I still go back to my old 2007 bamboo fun sometimes i love that thing. I upgraded to an intuos large and the extra tablet area lets me be a lot more precise but i dont really notice or care about the extra pressure levels

Do you feel a difference besides the larger surface area?

The extra pressure sensitivity means that the pen is more responsive to light marks, which means it's going to be more like a real paintbrush/pen/whatever tool you use.

I'd suggest getting a medium Intuos pro, it's big enough to have nice room to draw, doesn't take up too much of your desk, and it's still portable if you need it to be.

Not really to be honest. But i dont paint much and use it for linework

I'm considering buying an Intuos tablet. I'm a beginner and I don't want to spend too much so I'm planning on getting one of the non-pro ones. Of the non-pro ones, there seem to be 4 models: Draw, Art, Photo, and Comic.

As far as I can tell the only differences is that the Draw does not support multitouch (and is cheaper) and they all come with different software bundled. I've been looking through the specs listed on the site, and I can't seem to find any other differences.

Is the only difference between them the software that comes bundled? Thanks in advance

I was researching them too, and those were the only differences I could find also

Yeah, their website has a comparison tool, but it just shows which colors are available and little else.

All the specs I can see are identical: identical button layouts and pressure sensitivity, same size, dpi, and read speed.

There's no difference between them other than that.

5 years ago, it would have been the highest quality cheap option, but now you can get larger tablets with higher resolution and more pressure sensitivity for less than the bamboo.

Alright good to know.

I was looking at Wacom because that's the main brand name I hear everywhere, and I figure the 3rd party support will be the best with the biggest community/userbase.

Is software support something I'm going to have to worry about if I buy one of the cheaper tablets? Or is it a pretty much standardized thing by now?

Wacom has better drivers than most alternatives, where you can map hotkeys so they do different things in different programs, but that only matters if you actually have hotkeys to map. They all shit the bed occasionally when a drawing program has an update. Just read reviews and mind how old they are, a lot are talking about old drivers that have long since been fixed.

I haven't had any problems with the [redacted do to shitposters] since I got it, but I mostly use CSP and haven't tested anything else besides photoshop.
