What do we draw?

>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.

What's a low effort warning?

>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.

What happens if I'm eliminated?

>This is a way to let new artists join in and to allow re-entry for the eliminated. Every week a new challenge is started. If you joined on week 1 and make it to week 2 then your daily submission counts for both the first and second Last Artist Standing. If you get eliminated then you're eliminated from both challenges and you'll be able to rejoin next week.

Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?

>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.

Regardless; as far as the site goes, I'll be starting on a challenge/content system tomorrow. What I had planned was pretty much the same as what community challenges are now, except you can enable it to become a contest, so a 'winner' is voted at the end.

As well as having that, I thought about having courses, which are constant. They'll consist of parts you'll link your submissions towards. When you've submitted towards all lessons or whatever the course is made up of, you get the course's badge . I'd have to manually have a quick lookover to approve the completion of a course. These would be for example drawabox, the hampton lectures, vilppu, whatever courses are around.

Any thoughts on this system or alternatives?

No man, people underestimate sleeping way too much. Good sleep can do wonders to your studying.

When you have enough sleep you learn better because obviously you are more wired and alert because you have rested enough. But also because when you sleep, your brain goes through all the shit you learned that day, all the synapses and shit will be done when you sleep.

If you don't sleep enough enjoy being tired to the point you can't even focus and you wont learn as easily. Sometimes it feels like magic to me. Before sleeping I felt like I will never understand the thing I learned, but after good night sleep suddenly everything just made sense to me.

Sleeping isn't for the weak, it's for people who want to learn. I'd really recommend to have your shit together healthwise because it's a lot easier to learn with healthy mind and body than with sick one.

The streams are fairly dead lately, so if you want friends the Discord is probably your best bet.

To not drop out of LAS, I've been tempted these past few days. I'm out of a token too until the end of the month.

Also, improving my draftsmanship. I like painting way more than drawing since I'm better at it, but that's clearly me avoiding what I suck at, so I'm doing Loomis and Drawabox which has construction, perspective and shapes so that'll surely help me as long as I keep up practicing.

Which I also haven't been doing much. Barely doing 30 minutes a day lately. So, probably going to stop shitposting and get to drawing. It's going to take some real effort.

Overall, I just want to get better than where I am right now. At the end of the month, I want to be able to say, I improved 100% without a doubt, since doubt seems to plague my mind a lot lately. I actually lose sleep over it. That's bad, I want to get my thoughts straighten out so I can get shit done. No idea how to do that though. Any tips?

only downside is you can't animate with it, but if drawing/painting is what you want to git gud at, ts the best, people spend ages just getting add ons to PS to make what basically is corel painter.

one of the best watercolour brush sets for PS is 30 bucks, whilst painters stock watercolour set with natural bleed and run algorithm is in the product from the get go and is much better.

How is everyone feeling about the workload that is LAS? I personally have been finding it difficult at times to draw for even 30 minutes some days and don't often feel like I have the energy to do any constructive study
I see my peers doing all these different challenges within las and drawing over 3 hours a day, studying intensively and whatnot

I'm alive and well. I fucked up and started streaming then found out I had a few days off that I didn't think I would. So, I called my father and planned out real quick to be down there that night and to knock out some chores he needed a second pair of hands for. I wrote the message to be a cheeky cunt with the intention to explaining that I was gonna be gone for a few weeks with helping out the old man, then immediately out to the BFE for work.

I forgot to come back to the stream after my second load out to my truck, and forgot about it completely. Only reason I know what's going on now is because I came back from the family cabin a bit early, and logged on my dad's internet. A lassie on steam caught me and informed me what's going on. Doesn't seem like much drama, but at the same time, I feel horrible for alluding to suicide; especially for as long as the stream was apparently on for.
