he's an interesting continuation of the painting techniques of Cezanne. In the same way Basquiat is an interesting continuation of Picasso.

It's almost strictly decorative art. Not much feeling, and all the feeling there is is buried in the background and behind fancy brushwork.

I'm more of a van Gogh guy. Surface level emotions.

Picasso is pretty legit man. I don't really get any of his paintings that he is known for. They look like shit to me. BUT if you go back and check out some of his early drawings, they are pretty badass.
