I don't know any art jokes. I do know that Salvador Dali was derisively called "Avida Dollars", an anagram of his meaning "Greedy for Dollars."

My own art teacher called him Salvage a Dollar. Mildly humorous.

Usually, to make a political comic, you have to strawman. You are creating a argument with yourself and usually portraying the side you see wrong very ignorantly. You are also going to piss off that audience you see as wrong. For instance, I think it's stupid as all fuck for people to claim they are a gender contrary to what they are born with in their pants... but, I have fans who are those very people, and I draw some crazy lewd and "sexist" shit, why stir the pot for no reason and lost potential fans and commissions? We'll even look past that. Dobson is the definition of a hypocritical fedora wearing white knight. He used to do tons of inflation porn early on, and of course, most people hated it and he wasn't gaining the popularity or recognition he wanted. So what did he do? He moved on to the easiest audience that he could get. His most agrivating comic recently was that shitty Dragons Crown comic in which he claimed it "pained him" to draw the sorceress.... yet the faggot made porn where women would inflate, spew milk, and be popped. He parrots what's popular, has half thought beliefs and opinions, and much like critique, refuses to see things from the other side. I have no idea. It's especially confusing that it attracts the manga crowd since the vast majority of manga (and certainly the manga most Westerners buy) is black and white with screentones. I guess spend 1000 dollars on market sets so they can draw the promotional art for their manga?

Whats even worse are the people who have clearly dedicated hours and hours into mastering Copics and create great coloring, yet it is wasted on mediocre lineart.

Personally I'm in a bit of a glasshouse since I own a variety of Dr Ph Martins inks solely because they were used to color old comics (and the actual painted art never actually saw print).
