He makes the right people seethe so I like him for it. I think it's interesting that there are those that hate him very well because he is popular among the 'lower class' Makes me wonder if they'd worship my doodles as a kid if I had money and influence.

I like it. It's kitschy and twee, but I think he made it work for him. He'd probably have a better reputation with older artists if he didn't call himself
'The Painter of Light™'.

His landscaping is pretty corny, his fan art stuff is pretty nice. 2013 frontage devianart artist before his time.

I'm not particularly interested in it, but at least it's cozy. It's a lot better than having to see yet another dull sci-fi drawing or hyperrealistic pseudo-anime girl on fartstaion.

There's only one type of person who hates Thomas Kincade's work, and it's shitlib jews and their brainwashed useful idiots.

To everyone else, it's wholesome art that you want to see on your cookie tins.

I met home once before he died, he was nice enough. But when I asked him for his signature he pulled down his pants and pissed all over my shoes. It was kind of weird ngl

I once saw Thomas Kinkade at a grocery store in Sacramento. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen cans of soup in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the cans and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each can and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

>Zoomers defending Kinkaide
LOL. His whole scam was selling paintings to fly-over state collector retards who thought their Kinkaide paintings were going to be worth millions of dollars like a Picasso.
While inoffensive his art is the definition of SOVLLESS. Seeing paintings like this displayed in someone's home shouts "I'm a white retard"

It's okay. People have overreacted to his work for years so other people kneejerk to that and act like he's great but his art is inoffensive, generally pretty but tends to lack contrast (which gives it a very "soft" look that I think american grannies like, but makes it look very visually bland) and to have either poor or very rigid by-the-book composition (like in the OP pic everything just follows the rule of thirds, though if you aren't looking for it that gets lost anyway because there's so much detail and so little value contrast). It is like the definition of mediocre.

Given we can tell the sun is low in the sky from the sky gradient and the length of the shadows, it's probably safe to assume it's early in the morning and the lights are still on from when the family rose before sunrise to get ready for the day.
