1. Don't post nudity or revealing works.
Bare chest no nipples is a no-go. Some anons have had their art deleted because of this.
Bikini seems to be fine. When in doubt, post a censored copy here and link to the original off-site.

2. **No Porn**.
No, not the retarded "anything with a body in it is porn" standard or "I see her underwear, MODSSS!!!" Use common sense.

3. Due to the PPH (posts per hour versus the ratio of artists posting work) of this general, please wait until page 9 or 10 to remake a new thread or let the general fall off the board entirely before making a new one. Usewarosu.orgto retrieve the old threads.

I think it's better, yes.
I'm still not 100% convinced with that head-to-body ratio, it look like the head is too large, but maybe that's what you wanted to do.
If this was my drawing, I'd probably look into the gesture next, maybe maker her boody look more relaxed.
You could try maybe moving her hip a bit to the left (her right), with her hand laying on top of it.
Unless, you want her to look pissed or something like that.

It's really good that you draw so much. From experience, I would say that you are getting close. However, the jump from this level of /beg/ to /int/ isn't really an incremental one, but step-wise. It will happen when all of a sudden you see form and light in a different way from before, and become able to "feel the form". I have no idea how else to convey it in words--it's something you will know when it happens because learning will suddenly become much easier and you'll get so much more out of studies. Keep drawing (but not mindlessly) and you will get there. As for more specific things you can do, your biggest weaknesses right now are anatomy and gesture. Analyzing real life anatomy will help you understand form and gesture will help you put the pieces together in more fluid poses. You might want to work on proportions as well. Your art gives off the impression of knowing something about each body part's anatomy individually but not how to put them together. That's why the pose in your picture looks stiff. Try studying full bodies and how the body parts fit together without getting lost in the details. Anyway, your strengths are the cute faces and willingness to try drawing all sorts of ideas and poses, which I think is very soulful for a beginner. Keep going.

use reference, and i mean really use it, like if you wanna draw "cute girl pointing at camera" look at how other artists do it and think about why they did it like that, what angle did they choose, how much space does the girl take up on the canvas, how is she positioned etc, use how and why how and why, analyze, what do I like about this? how does it make me feel, what's the focal point, what's the goal of this image? etc etc etc
then you do a thumbnail, start your drawing, try to use the answers you got from analyzing your favorite artists. You can use photo reference for technical stuff, like how exactly should the hand look in perspective, or for the design of the clothes, anatomy, etc etc

cont.
What I mean is, I noticed you put effort into the anatomy and hair and design etc, but that stuff is only the cherry, you need to think about composition first, the big shapes, etc making an interesting image, the idea, the goal of the image, the main thing, the BIG PICTURE bro
If you don't know anything about composing an image just look at any of your favorite artists and analyze their work.
Here's an example from some random artist I follow on twitter to explain what I'm trying to say a little better.
You see his anatomy, rendering etc, his drawing skill is higher than yours and that can only be improved by drawing more from life and time, BUT

You can ALMOST INSTANTLY improve your work just by studying the way he composes the image.

For example, look at the way he has placed the characters, just the silhouette within the canvas. Compare it to your image, and just look at other work and pay attention to this.
This is only one part ofc, just the way the 2D shape is placed on the canvas, you can also pay attention to the way lines move your eye through the image or the movement in the image (which is what gesture is, lots of begs dont understand what gesture is, they have this misconception that its drawing poses.) Just try to find patterns that repeat throughout all the art you see, analyze every work you see and think about why you like it, and then try to incorporate what you have learned in your own work.
Like, when you see an image pay attention to where your eye "goes". Like for example on the mouse girl image my eye enters on her face, then it goes down to her ass, then if my eye goes to the sleeve, it is "stopped" and moved back to the ass, and if it goes to the tail, it is brought back to the face and the movement is repeated. You want to "trap" the eye in the image so that the viewer keeps looking for longer.

Don't wait for some magical moment in the future when you "know perspective and you can think amazing in 3D" or whatever, just pay attention right now
Just imagine these contour lines. And think about how exactly is he showing the form? If you think about it, there isn't REALLY a 3D form there, it's just an illusion.
For example notice how he uses the straps on the thighs to show the direction of the legs. How the leg that goes inward gets smaller.
Just "look at" these lines going over the form while drawing and you will slowly get better at it. Ofc, sketch from photos and life etc. If you want to get better at seeing form I recommend vilppu
You don't need to know anything before you can start making finished stuff or whatever it is you want to do. You start now. and learn as you go. I think the fastest way to learn is drawing whatever it is you actually want to draw, if it's a comic book start working on a comic book, if you want to do illustrations start doing finished illustrations, etc, just work on stuff and as you go, you will see what you HAVE to improve, and you will improve in the areas that actually matter for you. Like, an animator needs completely different skills compared to a concept artist for example. Just do whatever your end goal is, and you will improve as you go.
The thing is, technical skill isn't as important as /ic/ wants you to think. The idea and the message is 100 times more important. You can have the most technical advanced art, but it can be dull and boring, on the other hand you can have really amateur work that looks charming and good.
This is what soul vs souless is.
Souless is lack of idea, and message and feeling.
Technical skill is only a tool to help you get the idea out. But the idea is the main thing.

I like to exaggerate a bit the arc (it's pretty common, I'm sure you've seen it), and my guess is that's what you wanted to do.
I also think her legs a bit too short, and I'm assuming her right leg (left for us) is bent forward a bit, tho I could be wrong.
Take my approach in mind if you want, I think your legs look a bit weird.
Also, and this is much more of a personal opinion, the face looks too tumblerish / western. If that's what you wanted to do then it's fine, otherwise try simplifying it a bit.

As per usual, the low IQ /int/oid gives retarded advice. The worst advice you can give to a /beg/ is to tell them to polish everything and take as many drawings to completion as possible. You need to walk before you can run;it's so stupid and moronic to tell /beg/s who can barely put together a hairly lined sketch with wonky anatomy, that they need to take that hairly lined sketch with bad anatomy, and now try to color, render, and polish it.

No the correct answer is instead of making /beg/s have to do a million things at once, have them fixate on improving one thing at a time. And if you can't improve after 3,000 sketches well then you have a learning disability and no amount of anything was ever going to help you

Wait just a second.
What are you talking about?
Yes, I do keep asking for advice but in no way do I ever ignore it.
I listen to every advice I get and it's because of that very advice I get that I'm not as shit as I was without coming to this place.

I started figure drawing, learning anatomy, practice gesture because of the advice I've gotten.
I never would've done it without it.
Even things like changing anatomy depending on the body was something I didn't think I needed until somebody here pointed out that I was doing it wrong.
I've gotten many different guides and books from this place too I've gone through a bunch of them.
Things like line weight was something I never paid attention too until somebody pointed it out to me.

I'm grateful for every single art advice I've gotten.
I'm sorry I'm not improving as fast as you'd want me too.

I'm just incredibly bad, I admit it. However I desperately want to improve, I draw every day for hours and I deeply appreciate every single critique I get no matter how harsh it is.

The anatomy is better than your other pictures above, but one thing you can do is instead of drawing characters floating in a void, draw a bit of an environment (at least enough to show the perspective and plane of the floor) and then you'll see how the lower body and hands aren't exactly on the same perspective or plane. Making it consistent will make the pose look better. Apart from that, you're still symbol drawing. Look at photos of hands and legs in those poses and observe the contours and details. Especially bent knees and how thighs look both when squished and normally. Even when drawing lolis you need to know somewhat detailed anatomy before you can simplify it.

Imo it's a matter of preference. Take a good look at the pictures from the artists you like and see how they simplify whatever it's troubling you.
If you are slow like me, it's probably better to focus on one thing at the time (for example, see how they draw and paint (separately) legs, and compare it to your way, the try to incorporate whatever you like of them, and then move on to to other thing)

Not necessarily imo, it depends on how tall she is.
But I do think you can smooth the transition a bit, the angle at which the ribcage connects seems too high (I hope I'm making sense here).

I also recommend looking at how other artists simplify body parts for their drawings. If you can, find pictures you like and compare them to photos in the same poses or even pose in front of a mirror yourself to see what it looks like in real life and how other artists stylize all the details. Take note of the parts they keep and the parts they simplify.

Pretty cute.
I think the top part of her ribcage is too big / far forward.
I also think there's too many folds on her elbow compared to the rest of the top part of the dress, which causes the eye to move to that part.
But proportions and gesture seem mostly fine, which is the most important part imo

This is how I would do it.
I think her eyes and mouth are not properly placed on her head and also think her head is leaning too far forward. Her legs are also not quite alright imo.
When it comes to gesture, keep in mind mostly the second row. I think you did that part well enough, but I'd like to push it forward a bit.
Look at Hamptom's figure drawing book (is in the op, first link https://pastebin.com/51EwWkA9 ), and see how he plays with flow of the spine.
Again, I liked your gesture, just think you could abuse the style even further.

I'm not sure how this accommodates to your style, but for a more traditional animu style, I'd give her a more prominent bottom half of the head.
I would also push back her eyes somewhat and keep the transition from the nose to the lip simpler.
For the front view, there's two things.
First I think the eyers are too far apart (and maybe too vertical, I like to give them a bit of a tilt following the head's shape, but it's a matter of taste).
And second, while I've seen people pull off a somewhat square head structure quite well, I think yours would look better if the head got wider as you reach the forehead.
Finally, and this is not really a crit but, seeing the way you draw eyes, have you thought of doing her bottom eye lashes the way teshima nari does them? Because i think it would look better than a single line.

Friendly advice, the board is full of shitpost and frustrated anons trashing on other artists, don't get engaged in those threads or you'll end up wasting a surprising amount of time.
>I had no idea that this general existed
It's fairly new I think.

As for the drawing itslef, I really really like it. It's really cute and cheerful. I don't think I can really redline it, but here's something you'll hopefully find useful. I would lower down her breasts a bit and maker her torso shorter, while making her legs longer.
It's obviously a matter of preference, I like the "legs are half of the height" rule but don't expect everyone else to agree.
I also think her legs could have a more defined shape. And maybe her hair could be wider at the height of her ears, something like this.

Haven't, I guess I'll take a look tonight. Tho my struggles come, at least for the most part, from painting.
I just can't get the shadows and light to give the "form" that I want. And i have pretty much the same problem with clothing, tho I'm focusing on hair rn.

The overall impression is very nice, but the sides of the dress appear much longer than the back.

Yeah, the dress and the hair are killing me.
>>4973235
Not sure what you mean, I don't follow any tutorials for rendering, tho if you happen to know a good one for hair or clothes let me know.
As for the drawing, nothing is rendered yet, if I decide to finish it I will likely double the size and do the rendering afterwards.

Any advice for loli hip proportions? I try to draw them small, but it always looks like a petite adult's hips. Normal anatomy resources are all for adults.

"big" or "small" are only valid in proportion to other body parts.
If your hips are looking "too big" but you can't figure out why, maybe the problem is something else. Maybe there's something else that is too small, and thus makes her hips look too big in contrast.
It's hard to point out without seeing your work, but here's an example on how the same hip size looks bigger / wider if you make the waist too narrow / small.

You people do realize it's not illegal in the US? The SC even ruled it protected speech. Unless this thread is exclusively Brits I don't get how there's this troupe of autists who sit here trying to make baseless legal threats.
