Overall, you need to work on your line economy, there's lots of little unecessary lines all round, specially in the butt area and in the gooch/balls.

Also, I know you're going for a pony type of feel/proportions, but you should really practice your proportions more, the upper body compared to the horse part looks very off and, I think you'd benefit a lot from (I know) drawing some boxes/manequins in perspective to practice your 3D imagination. Also, I you're gonna be drawing horses, it's never too much to brush up on some more horse anatomy. Look at how it sits down, how it's weight it's distributed along the ground, and I'm not saying copy it to your drawing, but understand it and apply it effectively.

imo the key to getting a nice flow in your lineart is high stabilisation. I paint with S-2 in Sai, which is only 5 steps down from the highest setting. I think low or no stabilisation doesn't accurately reproduce the way I draw irl—it's too quick, scratchy and erratic for me. There's a lot of artists that benefit from this too, like Yoji Shinkawa for example, but it's all personal preference. You can create good art with either.

Anyway, idk what software you use, but here's my brush settings in Sai. Nothing fancy, just a simple airbrush. You could probably easily reproduce it in whatever you're using.

Not OP, but i don’t get this advice. The homogeneity of the lines is what makes the drawing consistent. Adding contrasting line work would make the drawing feel cluttered and noisy.

I’ve been told similar things, that i have too many straight lines, and I need more curves, but i feel like this makes my drawing feel schizophrenic.

From a value standpoint, when I squint I'm getting like 100% darks and midtones (with highlights).

I thnk some lighter tones in the skin on the closer elements (the close boob, leg, shoulder) etc. will pop them a little more and add depth.

The OTHER option (or do both) is to add some back lighting, i.e. rim lighting - something just popping on the furthest point of the close leg (so that there's a thin bright passage between it and the back leg). It could hit the rear boob and pop it out from the glove, the far edge of the face to pop it from the hair and glove, the glass to give it more gloss etc.

Hey! I did one similar to this the other day, lol. Keep going, you've got some foreshortening that's working, some structure, I'm vibing on your sense of design. So far so good.

I'd use this as your rough and go back and try to hit a cleaner version with tighter line work, but if you feel good about it how it is you can move on to the next one.

You can't cheat mileage, just takes time to get there.

For specific crit, careful with your boobs (cleavage doesn't exist without a bra on), the right leg feels like it isn't foreshortened enough and the left lower leg feels particularly short.

The only part that bothers me is her left leg/hip area, I don't see a reason for that deep shadow with such a hard edge on the connection with the pelvis. I was speaking in general. You improved a ton in the last months, but I think you take loose anatomy a tad too far. The dynamic stuff is great and all, but in some aspects you push it as fas as making it a bit broken.
Here in this particular artwork, I would point out especially her right forearm and fingers. I think this is the only part that really needs to be addressed. And while you are at it, I would also make her left upper arm a tad longer.

Almost all of the popular artists cheat in some way either copying or using 3D, but mileage makes the difference and they can adjust things to suit their needs and 99.9% of people can't tell how they cheated.

these have potential but i have a few pointers that might help you out
the colors feel kinda muddy and the overall piece feels flat mostly because the values are in the wrong places. It's almost like she's being lit by 5 different light sources, but it doesn't read like that since the light direction is pretty obvious in some regions (like their arms)

remember your planes and keep the lights consistent, hope it helps

the hair bangs and the third eye might look better if they were moved over to the right a little. The right ear could also be adjust by scaling down vertically a little.
The vagina maybe change the angle slightly to be more towards the viewer so like instead of a 45 maybe more of a 35 around there.
Maybe adjust the left breast probably see what it looks like moving it down vertically just a tad.

How important would you guys say color is for sexual art? I can't bring myself to learn shit about color and value, but I can work on anatomy, line, composition, form, and perspective all day.

also it feels painfully obvious that you color picked from reference images, or that you are used to the colors that color picking gives you. there's plenty of reason to eyeball colors, one being that the colors don't end up all muddy.

to help with colors, you can try making flats underneath the sketch and then adding hints of color as you build up the painting. but that doesn't always work for everyone

another suggestion is to try out anything with lineart and flats, whether is be comic books, anime, cartoons. whatever suits you. that's what i ended up liking to do, but it really did help me with color choice.

your anatomy, 3d and use of little hints of color is nice though :)

you don't have to take into account everything i said, but i really recommend less color picking and more eyeballing, and then working on strong shapes in your shadows

Yeah pretty much. I recently started laying flats then build up on top of lines with shadow first... I had zero confidence when I started painting but I’m kinda getting it a bit more. Thanks for the videos and the advice :)
