Thanks, I don't think anyone is nitpicking, I agree with most of it and will make some changes. Hands and feet are my weakest, so I try to make do with meaty paws. The visual clutter is part intentional and part failure from my part, I don't have much of a visual library for being /beg/ so I kinda forced myself to draw more details as exercise, will try to be a bit more economic the next time. Going to look into some perspective and drawabox exercises now that I've finished this.

Sorry for the french UI but you can easily understand.
To smudge I use a basic airbrush brush, intensity vary depending on your preference.
Kinda like airbrushing, you want to work with the borders of your brush so you can have finesse in what you're doing.
Try to smudge like you would cross hatch, respect the direction of shapes.
Focus on having hard edges and soft edges.

Yeah I did post it to shit on it. People pay money to get a chance to commission BBC and he decided to create something unattractive and lazy. This board is about critique. So I'm critiquing it. The shading was gross and lifeless. They say black is bad to shade with, but solid purple like that is ugly and made the character look dead, especially because of the muddy blending. The wings were even worse and were lazily drawn feathers that were basically "v"s stuck out from every direction without coordination.
BBC Chan isn't some god to be protected and worshiped. He is under criticism just as any other artist is. Just because he critiques begs sometimes, doesn't mean he's not allowed to be scrutinized.

imo you've put a lot of effort into making pretty rendering but the fundamentals aren't there.
this is a very good base imho but you've been too hasty with the setup and jumped into the meticulous rendering stage before anything was properly set up.

i know it sounds picky but i think you have what could have been a really good pic here, there's no point going back at this point but keep this stuff in mind before going into rendering on your next piece

she's not outside in the bright sun, she's just receiving difuse light from the sky and some bounce light from parts of the street that are getting direct sun light, so the values i chose were a conscient decision. I've tried different faces before and i kinda like this simplified style over the over-rendered sakimichan copycats. You're right about perspective, i should take more time analyse this stuff. Charge alts based on the work they'll take. Color swaps I usually do free because it takes ten seconds if you've set your layers up correctly. Face or panties change 10, cum covered 15, futa alt 15, anything more significant 20-30.

It was the first thing my eye was drawn to because it looked very off, like she has a pillow on her head. I totally get being lazy I do that often, but be careful of "good enough" when you're trying to improve. Anyways just my 2 cents.

You reach a point where randoms will post your work on Gelbooru, Danbooru, Rule34, SankakuComplex, etc, without you needing to do shit, but before you need to make sure you have a watermark* that shows where people can find you, that is, a Twitter/Patreon/Pixiv logo AND a LEGIBLE name. No I didn't use an app, but I failed to get a good reference for the pose. To be honest I often find it very difficult to find references when I need them. I redrew the angle of the pose quite a few times and ended up settling on the lesser of many evils.

not only that but the perspective seems inconsistent the shoulders imply that she is facing towards us,but the boobs change direction compared to the shoulders

look at the cartilage between the boobs, it's curving to the right compared to the collarbone

you could say it's the ribs thats causing the curved motion of that, but i dont know. something still feels off.

The gesture and form are definitely there, gj on that. This may come down to personal preference, but I think the abs/torso are way too detailed compared to the rest of the body parts, which mostly consist of empty shapes (not in the bad way). In other words, even though this is a study, maybe find ways to illustrate the abs in a more appealing way so they match the rest of the figure
