You have been practicing the wrong way. If you didnt get the result you wanted, you should take a look at your learning process. Research Barbara oakley, deliberate practice, and the 6 learning strategies. I'm not fucking around

is a good start
Other than that just take in what they're saying and apply it to your studies. Ex: retrieval practice, one of the 6 learning strategies basically says if you want to learn something better, it is beneficial to test yourself and see if you really know what you just learned. That means hiding or putting away all references, books, and learning materials. Then trying to reproduce what you just learned on your own. It forces you to recall the information and strengthens your understanding. The next time you try to recall that information, it will be easier. This means you can use this method to draw the skull from any angle for another example. You'd look at reference and draw from it, then test yourself and hide the reference and try to draw it from memory. The important part is recalling it and also comparing your attempt with the reference and see where you went wrong. You want to fail as much as possible because it reveals to you what areas you need to practice. Retrieval practice is the same thing that how to draw shrimp tutorial uses.
> Draw shrimp
> Find reference and compare them both
> "Where did I go wrong?"
> Hide reference
>Repeat
