>tfw fell for the "just draw" meme

My progress has been delayed by years because of this fucking lie.

Studies and grinding non-stop are the only way. Fuck every scumbag who tells you anything else.

Just draw clearly has some merit to it, you just have to have more than double digit IQ to grow while doing it

>> No.4699546

I "just drew" around 12-13 and it was when I made the fastest progress. I went from beginner to intermediate pretty quickly. As anon said, you just got to put some thought into it
>draw thing
>huh doesn't look right
>look up ref
>fix image
>you now improved
Though, yes, doing structured learning is obviously going to be faster.

I decided to try sycra’s method after some anon talked about it in another thread. It’s actually not a bad idea, I’m not sure if it’s the fastest way, but it’s pretty enjoyable

"just draw" is for people who right now are not drawing but instead complaining

my progress has been delayed for about a two years due to me not drawing
even if it doesn't make you improve substantially, it at least keeps you from becoming complacent and degenerating

>he actually thought that just drawing would help you improve and not studying the fundamentals of the craft. literally the primary thing you do to learn anything and everything that is learnable

do you think mathematicians get a phd just by adding 2+2 for 10 years? come on bro use your brain.

It was a meme for people like you to fail.
It worked.
You fell for the biggest trick in the book.

Learning the hard way is better than not learning at all. Good for you anon.

Just Draw works but you need to tap into your mind and soul for it

Now you just need to come to terms with being retarded, OP, and then you can make some real progress.

Well there's the problem.

It took him
> years
to realize that when people say "just draw" they mean "get off the internet and draw" not "draw the same thing over and over without learning anything from your mistakes".

Oh lord, my sides.

I bet you're the kind of person who wants to improve at art, but doesn't know exactly why. Look jackass, first you need to know what you wanna do and then you're start studing and shit. Grinding for the sake of grinding is a fucking waste of time.
