It's really not limitation when you have a pixel manipulation tool and every single color. Any image you can display in ms paint, which is every image in existance, you can also make in ms paint.

While it's true that perfectly replicating watercolor may be redundant or take a long time, perfectly replicating the look of messing around in ms paint in watercolor would be impossible.
On a more practical note

actually, the aliased brush, aka the pencil brush is a lot more special than you think.
Anime alises their lines for digital ink and paint, and they usually scan low res, meaning that you achieve the same look from ms paint that the most god tier anime studios use for their animation.
Look up paintman if you have the time, that program is pretty much ms paint with some bells and whistles.

I'm glad this thread exists because I love MS paint. There's something really pretty and inspiring in making appealing art with an extremely limited toolset. It's like people who make insane illustrations with things like sidewalk chalk or Rubik's cubes.
