Most people here are not actually learning. They are hoarding sources of knowledge in a vain attempt to improve through accumulation of sources. Infantile as all fuck. Also, even though they barely do the excersises they fear that they may hoard invalid sources, so that's why they are so anal about the teachers, books or products. It's very common behaviour and not only in art.

It's psychologically easier to hoard than to look at one source, understand it and study it thoroughly. Besides most people by the time they are reading one thing they have a gnawing phobia that they are wasting their time and should collect more stuff. And the cycle ever repeats until they person quits because they claim they had shit genetics and were not built for art.

I am a /beg/, but one particular short term goal which is to get good enough to red-line for others regularly and give good tips.

I draw because I enjoy drawing but I am not aiming to make a career in this area. I would like to draw portraits of attractive girls from imagination, but its not a particular end goal.

I'm going through the Bargue Drawing Course and trying to mix it with my other studies to improve. If I can simplify forms and shapes at least half as well as Bargue I'll be happy.

I want to support myself from personal work. I want my personal work to inspire people, make them think and feel. I want to work illustration jobs too and maybe go into concept art but fundamentally living off of personal work is the end goal.

Um, to buy a nice house in a neighborhood with low crime and start a family? I suppose that is a lot of money for a Forever Alone, but having a house with a family and being able to put your kids through college without huge debt is a satisfying thing.

My end goal is to work on 2D background paintings for an animation studio or some indie games. I have a ways to go but this is one I just finished working on and animated after.

I want to be able to listen to music that I like and create something fantastical in my mind, and translate it to paper. I don't really care if it's rough or sketchy, I'd like to just be able to create little doodles to make myself proud of myself, and maybe show them to my gf or friends to allow them to see what I think is cool

Telling stories with my drawings. Current plan is developing some comics. Writing good characters and stories is showing to be surprisingly dificult, and I can barely tell what I'm doing right or wrong.

I wanna get so mindnumbingly good at sprite art just so I become a webcomic hack auteur that gets away with a mess of a plot and inconsistent updates. Fr tho, I hope that this'll also help me with other digital art
