Does this count as anime? I just want to improve. My fave artists are both japs and gooks. ATM I’m doing a more gook style but I don’t know how to improve. I started sketching this today and I'm currently being assblasted by the face, I even tried a bastardized loomis head but in the end it looked like some mikeymegamega tier shit
Some more problems I'm having:
The region that I marked in red in some cases it looks like a tendon may appear, I need to know what this really is and when it occurs
I looked in some books the impression I had is that this was the Adductor Longus or the Gracilis. Literally all the sources I consulted like Hampton, Anatomy for Sculptors , Proko and even Scott Eaton bring the adductors into a single muscle group and don't say anything about it.

The other thing is about the arm, I usually leave the arm length a little bit after the groin.
But in this case because of the perspective and foreshortening I don’t know I exaggerated the size, even though I know there will be a distortion

AfS was the first place I looked, the pages I found information about this are these.

In the front view I thought it was the adductor longus, but when I saw it from the side, the adductor longus seemed to be way ahead of the pubic arch, so I was in doubt if it wasn't the gracilis. I was also uncertain how to represent this in the drawing and the correct region.

You're still doing straight 1:1 copies, I know you really want this persons artstyle, but you'd need pro level to do so. You need to take is slowly, take small things from his art you like and slow put it in your art.

You need a base figure you're comfy with, then you can start trying to mimic other artists when you understand what they're doing.

For practice, try doing it in different angles, try to not make a finished picture your first try, but something you can build off of.

Honestly speaking you're not going to make it, I can easily tell how fucked you are from that one drawing, but if this is your first drawing, that's another story.

I fucking hate Anime, but reading through that "Effective Art Study Guide", it sort of makes sense. Generally I stayed away from tracing, but the guide does seem to come from some sort of knowledge. Hopefully I have the process down from what you guys are saying.

Nobody that tells someone to study loomis actually means for them to draw fucking 1930s cartoons you dumbass. It's a recommendation when the person in question looks like they could use more practice with basic anatomy. You then apply what you learned from that to your own style now that you have a more basic understanding of the real way things look.

Honestly, saying your work is shit is a good way to get people to agree with you, so don't put that in your posts. Plus stuff like "I know it sucks" makes people wonder if you actually put effort into trying to figure things out yourself and if you'd even be willing to take the time to incorporate critiques if you were given any. lots of fun little shapes became less interesting when you refined them like the ones for the sleeves
you also flattened out the shoulder girdle, notice how in the original the clavicle and the contour of the shoulders don't meet, while in yours they merge, breaking the sense of 3d space
theres lots of other little things that contribute to it being stiffened and flattened a little bit.
