What's the best school to study in for animation?

Maybe RISD?

the school of self study.
don't waste your money OP none of them actually teach anything you can't learn from a basic animation book. The only worthwhile thing from them is contacts. Trust me I wasted 4 years on one

Doesn't going to college give you more job opportunities?

I hear lots of mixed things about Calarts, how is their animation program?

The course might have industry contacts via past graduates or alumni that could help you land your first job. That's what happened with me.
But be aware studios don't care at all if you've been to college, what grade you got etc. all that matters at the end of the day is your showreel.

I'm sure those contacts made it all worthwhile. Do you have a link to a demo reel or website I could see?

Certainly has a good reputation. the name alone might get you to places I bet...
RISD is also a famous art school, mostly because it's connected to Brown uni..

Should always start doing stop motions first to understand how it actually works. And then you can do animation with ease.

>stop motions
what. Stop motion takes forever.
I think you mean rotoscoping.
