18 likes and no knowledge on what a stabilizer is in the slightest. Surely something we can all top.

I'd use pixiv but I can't figure it out. And the paying for premium thing is a turn off as well.

Anons can probably top skill but not aesthetics.

Here's the closest you'll get to Pixiv /beg/ so you can compare us to them.

More like set a low bar and see if a majority of the anons here can top it. With how much praise goes to nip lineart I doubt my expectations will be met.

Yeah I am no stopping using an stabilizer.

You do NOT need a stabilizer for digital art AT ALL. Jesus christ people learn to fucking ink, it's not even THAT hard.
Also that drawing looks good despite having bad lineart, he did a really good job on everything else.

nah why do people care so much about people using stabilizer or not lmao. its harder to draw smooth lines on digital because youre usually drawing with a tiny ass tablet rather than a standard size sheet of paper. people really think they are superior than other artists because they don't use stabilizer, but if the end product is good who cares?

I don’t think so. I don’t know why my line art is so fucking plain or just uninteresting. Anyone got advice on line art?

>> No.4195199

>>4195132
Yes you do. Just don't crank it up to max. No matter how smooth your arm movements are, tablets or art softwares makes your lines jittery as fuck for some reason. Compare a 0 stabilizer line both from PS and CSP and PS will always haves some small jitters

it's pretty good, just avoid chicken scratching like on left sketch and try to do the line art in one go without rehashing it.

Pretty sure the no stabilizer thing is a new crab meme. Like it or not tablets will never, ever be as organic and comfortable as paper.

>tablets will never be as comfortable as paper
I used to say this until I actually committed myself to doing longer finished drawings on a tablet with no stanilizer. When I first started all my lines looked like shit. 30-40 hours of practice later and my linework has improved by leaps and bounds on both digital and paper. In fact it's the greatest improvement in line control I've had since I started drawing a year ago. Even just sketching on paper, rather than inking on digital, I'm amazed at how much less I chickenscratch and how much easier it is to put lines where I want them. I'm still no pro at all, I still have to ctrl-z a lot when I'm inking, especially for trickier curves, but I feel like it's totally worth it.
Granted I'm using a Cintiq, maybe it's harder on a tablet without a screen, idk. But if you believe something is possible, and that you can learn how to do something, you'd be amazed at how far you can get.

I think it's definitely good try out without stabilizer for practice, but that's not really my point. Paper is always going to be even slightly more comfortable, its just the differences in medium, though it's also subjective.

>> No.4195973

>>4195961
Unironically speaking, it's all in your head. Tablets will always produce jittery lines without postprocessing (aka, muh ``stabilizer''). Tablets don't provide enough resistance and every tiny movement will generate a signal your painting program will process and create scattered, jittery, wobbly lines.

This is just nonsense. Here, I inked the OP pic in Photoshop with NO stabilizer at all. Obviously I drew plenty of lines that have no jitters.
