is this csp?

well I think it's reasonable for rigid objects, if I was to draw a gun, I would find a 3d model and trace it

>> No.4169569

it's not a hack. For some one who never uses 3d maybe.

the "how to fuck up your perspective even with 3d ref" hack, very good

shows that fundies still are important, at least in this case

Maybe it is good as an exercise, but it should never be done for something you're going to claim to be your own work.

It's OK as a guideline since you still have to draw all the bumps and/or asymmetry, the way OP drew it looks pretty awful ngl.
I'd either use a 3D model of an existing gun or draw the whole thing from scratch unless it's an important prop, in that case sketchup gives you a better reference.

>> No.4169736

>>4169685
But it is just an extruded version of something you drew. Thats like saying drawing on top of a sketch you made means you cant claim it as your own.

>> No.4169744 [DELETED]

>>4169736
no, it's not.
putting something in perspective is something aside from the initial sketch, whereas drawing ON TOP of a sketch you made is by definition not aside from it.

>> No.4169751

>>4169744
No 3d render can be not copying then

>> No.4169752

>>4169736
when you draw over a sketch you made you're not changing the perspective.

>> No.4169761

You didn't really draw it unless you pulled it out of your ass. Drawing isn't about producing a good image, it's a kind of masochistic performance art. The means justify the ends.

Of course. Haven't you seen it on Maslow's hierarchy of needs? It's right between esteem and self-actualization.

Seems like a lot of bullshit to get around not being able to do basic construction.
Doing things in a way that isn't particularly faster, in exchange for a result that's noticeably worse. The contemporary artist way.

extrude is way faster, same end result but the process is a lot easier, you always want to use the least amount of effort if you can get the same result

It'd be easier to just use boxes, at least then you can fix the perspective issues.
