so its a fucking lie right?
It seemed to me that she was clearly good at drawing to begin with and not a beginner at all.

At the beginning of the video it looks like someone who is very practiced at drawing attempting to draw in a more simplistic manner rather than a beginner. It just seems fake to me.

Japanese people take art in school and their art education is a lot better than the absolute state of art education in America. She even says art was her best subject in school. Her drawings are still /beg/-tier, even by the end.

Depends how you look at it, they do learn technical stuff earlier, but western approach values creativity more, who knows, it might be one of the reasons why all the famous inventors, philosophers and leaders are westerners.

Everyone sees fast improvement in the beginning, especially when you use any sort of structured course and go from "i cant draw at all" to "i sort of can follow the steps in this tutorial here". It's later on when it gets much harder and its easy to plateau with your skill level and get discouraged since you dont see as much difference anymore. This chick is still very much beginner level btw.

She's pretty cute though, I'd be down to facefuck her while shes making anime choking sounds.

>Comparing oil paintings to woodblock prints

not that the japanese were good at painting coz they were mostly doing those prints

For anybody who has a passing interest on how they are made, here;s some wholesome guy making a more basic one

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nCbsbaVbVM

And out of whatever small group that actually painted kinda they were drawing plants and cocks mostly

I'm always a little jealous of Japanese art books (or sometimes more specifically their reference books in general). They always seem to have good art/reference books for whatever specific thing you're interested in whether it's fighting, guns, panty shots, school girls, sex positions, etc. They cater to so many artist niches.

Not really the same with Western art books. There's a lot of good Western artbooks that the Japanese frequently use to but the only "how to draw" books that focus on a certain niche is usually only marketed towards children.

Wasn't there a TED talk that talked about how 20 hours is a good enough time frame to be good enough at something?
The only reason why you're NGMI is because you're not putting in the effort dumbass. Go draw.
