There's something about the curves and softness of fat that is really hot. for me it's all about the stomach and assets. Weight gain is about more and more curves and squishiness. The progression of it is really arousing for some reason. The girl is indulging and making herself feel good. IRL fat girls are usually disgusting and have mental health issues. Drawing a fat girl allows you to idealize her (eg: remove cellulite), put the fat in the right places, make her actually attractive.

There are a lot of small details that can turn me off, such as fat from the calves cascading over the ankles or an excessive amount of chins. So, it's less of a weight thing and more of a style thing. There are artists that can make 1000 pounds look good, while others make 300 pounders make me want to vomit. As far as an ideal weight is concerned in art, 400 pounds is a safe estimate. In reality, most women over 250 pounds are complete ogres.

Pre-pubetry. very young. As a kid I thought fat=strong or some shit. I don't know where this misconception came from, and I'm not turned on by strongfat women, which is a whole other fetish entirely. Even though I am American (go ahead and laugh,) it should be noted that in many poor countries, fat is considered beautiful because if you're fat, you must be rich. My family has never had any issues with obesity. At 6', I am only 135 pounds. I remember a particularly humiliating moment for my mother when I was 5 or so; I walked up to a morbidly obese woman on the street, looked right at her, and shouted, "MAN, YOU ARE FAT!"
