I've always used photoshop, but I see why people recommend this. Tell me everything you would have liked to know when you made the switch, or just when you started.

You don´t "make the switch" kid.
You use both, for different purposes.
Manga Studio is amazing for lines, photoshop is for image manipulation.

Pen movement is smoother compared to PS

>>3903332
I'd rather not install a 3rd party app when I can use csp to do the job for me. PS is too much of a memory hogger anyway.

Also this >>3903337. I still use PS for filters and other image manipulation tools

CS5 is alright. CC on the other hand takes fucking forever to startup.

Since this is a CSP thread can anyone explain why I almost always end up with a white glow around almost any rendered object. Am I just retarded? this did not happen in PS what am i doing wrong I'm tired of having to fix it every time.
Looks sort of like picrelated

I use CSP daily and I don't understand your post. Why not post an actual picture of what it looks like instead of "sort of looks like"? What do you mean "rendered object"?

Clip studio has the crutch integrated tho.

Same as PS actually since they implemented stabilization months ago.

>> No.3903835

>>3903795

It's not a crutch at lower settings. Small amounts of stabilization makes the strokes more accuracte to your actual input.

<Tab> opens or closes all tool windows
<Tab>+<Shift> cycles through how much of the menus are shown for the little extra of even more draw space

This.
Keeping it at 10-15% (or even lower) gets rid of a lot of the jitter that really wouldn't be there if you had done the exact same stroke on paper. It's something to do with digitizing the strokes. It's more focused on getting 1:1 input, no matter how much the values fluctuate. Throwing on some stabilization just averages out the values to something much more expected.

Cheap.
Easy to use.
Once you get into brush customizstion you can bring ps bushes over.
The main one for me is vector layers.
Ahead of photoshop which took forever to bring pen stabalization.
Neat features like AI to color.
