Nope, he's a well respected illustrator who does mild nudity from time to time, not a porn artist. Most of the well known nip illustrator have some form of nudity here and there, but there are barely any well known and well respected hentai artists who create work for big companies. Which makes sense especially in a country like Japan, nobody wants to associate with such people. Also one of the reasons why nsfw artists, nsfw animators, and hentai voice actors almost never show their face publicly, and if, always hide behind a mask.
Also careful comparing your situation with those few well known nsfw nip artists who had a big gig here and there, they are extremely well known and have been building their fanbases for decades, so there is some mild leniency there.
