What good art schools are in California? I know about Watts Atelier, but I’m looking to ultimately go into digital art. Specifically production art. I just don’t know if there’s such a thing as digital atelier.

I’m 27 and living in Colorado with my partner who wants to go into voice acting. We both work in the marijuana industry and I figure with our experience we could snag jobs in Cali and pursue what we both really want out there.

I’m kinda worried about cost of living of course plus the cost of school. Our lease here is up in one year so we have some time to save more money.

ArtCenter, I'd love to go myself but it's way too expensive. But it's great for digital art.

safehouse atelier is pretty affordable & many of the classes are directly taught by artists from massiveblack; whit brachna & karla ortiz both studied there. i'm not sure if it still exists though. besides that there are a lot of part time schools in ca especially for entertainment design.

these two are probably the most notable but there are similar workshops all over the place now. cost of living is gonna be a real fucker, that alone might make it way harder for you to grind & study in CA than if you stay here. as far a CO options, rmcad is supposed to be pretty good, and so is loveland atelier. online classes are also a really good & afforable option that shouldn't be overlooked.

also do you have a discord or anything? it'd be cool to talk to another drawfag from around here.

Why do all these schools have to be in SoCal, they're affordable but living in SoCal isn't at all REEEEEE

It's not even possible to commute from NorCal either or even any of the surrounding areas because they're all gentrified to hell.
